Job Title: Senior Manager, Technical
Reporting to: Head of Technical
Description
AerDragon is the first Chinese lessor dedicated to aircraft operating lease. It is a joint venture among China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (China), AerCap (Ireland), CACIB (France) and East Epoch (Hong Kong, China).
The Company is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Technical. The position is based in Beijing, China and responsible for all technical aspects of AerDragon’s portfolio of commercial aircraft and engines, and reports to Head of Technical.
Specific Responsibilities
• Monitor lessee compliance with technical provisions of lease agreement to ensure the Company’s asset value is maintained and/or improved.
• Manage projects such as aircraft audit, delivery, redelivery, sale, purchase, transition as assigned.
• Review, comment and evaluate heavy check work scopes of the Company assets.
• Act as relationship manager and communicate regularly with assigned lessees for technical matters.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating technical related terms in documents such as LOI, lease agreement, side letter, sale/purchase agreement.
• Assist in OEM and supplier relationship management.
• Assist in aircraft and engine valuations.
• Management of maintenance reserves, including rate determination, reserve collection and reimbursement.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualification
- A broad knowledge of aircraft with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in an aircraft leasing company, airline or other aviation businesses managing aircraft deliveries and redeliveries, aircraft maintenance planning or maintenance activities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in aircraft technology or a related field.
- Experience with major aviation regulations such as FAR, EASA, CCAR.
- Native Chinese speaker; fluent in written and spoken English.
- Occasional business travel as required.
- Expert in the use of asset management systems such as LeasePoint is preferred.
