Job Title: Vice President, Technical

Description

AerDragon is the first Chinese lessor dedicated to aircraft operating lease. It is a joint venture among China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (China), AerCap (Ireland), CACIB (France) and East Epoch (Hong Kong, China). The company is looking for a Vice President, Technical.  

The position manages all technical aspects of a set of AerDragon portfolio commercial aircraft and engines, whether on or off lease, and reports to Head of Technical. This position is based in Shannon Ireland or Beijing China with frequent international travel.

Specific Responsibilities

-Provide overall technical management of firm assets, managing outside resources as required

-Manage lease return inspections/audits, storage and transition maintenance

-Manage asset technical delivery to lessee or buyer

-Ensure asset compliance with technical lease provisions during term of lease. Coordinate with operations team and external parties on reporting requirements

-Manage asset pre-buy diligence and assist with investment underwriting (forecasting technical cashflows)

-Review and approve workscopes for reimbursable claim events with lessees

-Review maintenance reserve claims to ensure compliance with lease provisions

-Review and assist with negotiation of lease agreements, purchase/sale agreements and LOIs to ensure technical risks are properly managed

-Support remarketing efforts with technical support

-Ad hoc projects as assigned

Required Experiences and Qualifications

-Undergraduate degree or higher,

-Engine management is preferred, especially in respect of engine overhaul full process management and PBH negotiation.

-A broad knowledge of narrow body, wide body aircraft types such as A320 family, A350, 737CL/NG/MAX, B787

-A minimum of five years of experience working at an aircraft leasing company or airline managing deliveries and redeliveries and maintenance reserve claims

-Experience reviewing and negotiating the technical provisions of aircraft and engine lease and purchase agreements

-Experience auditing technical records including engine LLP back to birth traceability

-The ability to multi-task, providing coverage to several concurrent projects utilizing external resources are required

-Deep understanding of a variety of cultures; internationally oriented and able to build good relationship between organizations, people and cultures

-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

-Detail oriented and self-motivated

-Team player and flexible; willing to perform tasks necessary to achieve common goals

-The ability to manage through difficult situations in a professional manner

-The ability to travel internationally 25% to 50%
